Whiting is a white powder that can be mixed with any paint for increased hiding power. It can be blended with linseed oil to make sash putty. Or, it can be mixed with paint to make Swedish putty. Whiting can be used to make Gesso, a sealer for canvas and artwork. Whiting is also often used to create field marking or court lines.
